What is my Purpose?

In today's rat race, at some point of time, we all feel trapped and suppressed only because we let others take control over the reins of our lives. This one is about stepping up and realizing that the only one is control of your present and your future is "YOU"! It goes something like....

What is my purpose?

What is my purpose? and what is my fate?

For that decision with destiny, I need to set a date!

I am confused, I am going nuts!

Failing to see, that all I need is guts!

Guts for what, asks my mind?

Guts to face the world afresh, a place of happiness to find!

Its time to realize that place isn't near nor far!

For I have enclosed my mind, tightly shut in a jar!

For myself, I had unknowingly defined a limit!

One that never existed, for the extent of the world is infinite!

Wrong is holding on to what's not important!

It embides one in shackles, making your mind dormant!

Time has come to free myself, and leap out the window!

For sometimes, holding on is more painful and than letting go!

With that leap of faith, I realise what's always been around,

A world full of happiness, just waiting to be found!

In my quest to decipher my purpose, I had become obsessed and forgotten to live!

I now realise, that in deciding my fate, destiny does not play a role!

Happy, and carefree! Of my life, I now take back control!

DEMOTIVATION!

Today, in this fast paced & extremely competitive lifestyle, "Demotivation" is a very common feeling and sometimes you do feel undermined to the point you wanna give up. At times we lose all hope and stop trusting our own abilities due to various reasons (unfair comparisons, etc. etc. etc.). This poem is about stating to believe in yourself and how to rediscover your motivation and drive forward towards success!

It goes something like this........

Demotivation

Oh! This level of demotivation is new!
Hope subject to such dire situations are only a few!
Constantly other's success being demanded to replicate,
Alas, why dealt with such a cruel fate!

How can I? I often sigh;
For I may have forgotten how to fly!
Forcefully submerged deep below;
Only negativity in the mind continues to flow!

Looking at others, all shine and glitter;
Never before felt so bitter!
A shine so bright, and with luster;
It causes my thoughts to fluster!

As my memories of the highs continue to fade,
Success as well, tends to evade!

Looking at my reflection in the broken pieces, I realize;
The quest for a glue, will forever remain in vain,
There always was, a remedy for my pain!

At the gates of success;
It does not matter, the fate been dealt;
If the winds through my wings I could have felt!

With my heart heavy, my brow full of blood and sweat,
Is it to late to realize what was the real threat?
Hoping for a day with brighter weather,
I begin to stitch my pieces together!

Toes twitching, nervous about facing the winds again,
I close my eyes, thinking about all there is to gain!
With a steady push, I take flight,
On myself, should have never felt plight!

As I gaze with hope down below,
at last happy again, and mellow!
As the wind once more ripples through my wings at a fearful rate,
Hopefully, I now realize the true meaning of motivate!!

Victory

Victory! Does not that very word fill you up with hope,
expectation, curiosity and happiness all at the same
time!!! Its indeed a very powerful word! Its something
which we all want to achieve! But sometimes we forget
that in our quest, we must not ignore and belittle
those that are important to us! Those that care about
us! Coz, if we do then there's no one left to celebrate
the joys of emerging victorious with! Sometimes, in
our pursuits we begin to take things for granted and
end up hurting those close to us! Sometimes we chase
dreams,and forget about our friends and family and do
not give them the time and love they deserve! Sometimes,
its best to not chase ur dreams so much that you end
up alone!

This is what this poem is about!
It goes something like......

VICTORY!
Because sometimes even in victory,
Is hidden somewhere a defeat!
Oh but it is'nt strange,
for people to perform this feat!

As we are always looking for excess,
Even after victory craving for more success!
Our insatiable desires we are unable to feed,
Does not this feeling resemble greed?

Sacrifices many we are ready to make,
All but for Victory's sake!
But we never realize what we have lost,
For victory, YES!  But at what cost?

Take some time,
To sit and ponder,
Were the sacrifices worth it,
Or were they a blunder!

Ravaging through your thoughts,
You will find!
Memories of people,
That you left behind!

Wonderful thoughts,
Now filling up your head!
But alas,
Gone are those memories,
Forever Dead!

The truth can tread you a two fold path,
Change your mind for good,
Or fill it with wrath!

Either way,
you will change!
Do not think that even the wrath is strange!

Though you will tread a path of pain,
At the end, you are to gain!

If for the battle,
You call it a day!
Victorious still,
You shall stay!

For not fighting the battle,
is a victory in itself!
You don't archive anything on your shelf!

No blues will come your way,
Happy and cheerful, you will stay!

Through the Window!

After a long while, have decided to start posting here again! Well going with the philosophical ways, this ones titled "Through the Window", where the window symbolizes our mind. It symbolizes that despite our beliefs in our own ideas and values, we must open the window of our mind and accept and learn from others and be willing to adapt to better ways and methods to achieve more in our lives. As, opening the window of our mind to new ideas, better methods, other peoples innovations, we will take one step towards improving ourselves as human beings, being better people and heading towards a peaceful world! So here goes .....

Through the Window!!

Through the window, I look and see;
 Faces of glum, and those of Glee!
 Some celebrating happiness, others from troubles;
 Trying to flee!

 I notice behind the happiness, a tinge of Pain!
 For those noble, not those vain!

 Through the window, I look and see;
 A cluster of people sharing their lives!
 Some fragrant flowers, some sharp knives!!'

 Why this difference,
 I begin to ponder!
 With yet another sight,
 My thoughts stop to wander!

 Cause through the window, I look and see;
 A hint of a reflection, of none else but me!

 I then realize, what the window shows!
 A new memory, as an old one goes!
 A time for amends, not for counting woes!
 A time to make friends, not to add foes!

 Through the window, I look an see;
 Dreams of the future, what the world can be!

Expectations!

This is one of my new poems .... this ones about a golden word... Expectation! .... expectations from ourselves and more so from others. Have you ever wondered how much we always feel hurt when someone doesnt do as we expect or behave as we expect. Well truth is sometimes the heart just expects us to expect something from someone but it doesnt work that way. Maybe that someone doesnt even have a clue as to whats being expected. And then we hold grudges or feel bad. How can we do that when we dont even convey to someone of what we expect. Well the only remedy is to stop expecting and only continue to give your best and be your best, for I guess thats the way it goes.......

Expectations!

I should learn to only give;
I should learn to not wanna take!
To expect something in return;
was my biggest Mistake!!!!

For life is bout give and not take;
why cant I understand this;
For heavens sake!!!

Someone knock some sense into me;
to give n not expect is the way to be!

Lotsa people walk into our lives;
Some bring highs;
Some others low dives!

But why only give to the highs;
Sometimes give even to the lies!

Coz among these people walking;
I hope to find;
those who leave their footprint behind!

To find; I think;
I must beckon!
Each n every person;
with a smile n a cheer;
I reckon!

But trouble comes;
They take what I give n then run away!
Oh!
That causes my beliefs to sway!

I must not let this sorrow;
To stop me from giving!
That would be a sin;
One not worthy of Forgiving!

I must realize;
They never promised anything in return!
I was just expecting;
what was never going to come!

To give what I have unconditionally;
Its special but its just that;
To not get anything back;
is a fine example;
That great expectations often fall flat!!!!

Sometimes, Abstract thoughts run though the mind, and the flow of words just form a rhyme. It is when you actually go through what random words were penned, you realize that these are actually ur true desires or thoughts which have jus been put to paper. Here's a poem that I wrote a couple of days bak jus randomly sittin down. Its bout what everyone wants and how to achieve it and about the enormous joy of reaching ur goal. it goes something like,,,,,,

The Name!

In shades grey,
In shades blue!
In every shade;
I see you!

You're standing round the corner;
Giving me a stare!
My minds confused;
bout how I would fare!

But confusion aint gonna help;
Coz the bigger problem;
is how to get there!

With eyes open;
With eyes closed!
Everytime I look;
I see you!

Still standing round the corner;
Still beckoning me to come to you!
But the path to you is blocked;
I'm wondering how to reach you!

This is a chance for my mind to think;
to do the same thing others do!
The same thing as others you say;
Why is that difficult?
Coz I gotto do the same thing different!!

I just can't take your stare;
I want to reach you to make it end;
At last I figured out a way;
I have to take that longer bend!

Making my way round the bend;
Carving a path With a blend;
Of drops of sweat;
and The tears of joy!
I found you!!!
But you gave me a last task of naming you!

Some call you success;
Some others Prosperity!
Some call you Satisfaction;
Then there are Some who dont know you!

But for all you have taught me;
For what you have made me!
There only one name I wanna give you;
I'm gonna call you Happiness!!!!!!

In the Reflection!

Heres nother one of my poems....... well this one is quite simple n subtle actually. Each of us today think only as far as ourselves. We are lost in our world, our own needs, our own motives and seldom do we remember the others!!! .... People today are so involved in their own lives that they see no need to devote some time to other people who matter..... other people who care for them! ...... So this poem hopefully tries to suggest the importance of thinking beyond urself and to give importance to others....coz though they are others... some of them are ur own! ..... welll hope u can understand what this poem is trying to say! it goes something like......

In The Reflection!!

I sneek a gaze et the mirror,
to see no one else but me,
The sight i got to see,
was one best left undescribed to thee!

Horrors unleashed,
monsters let loose!
All reaching out from the mirror,
their arms armed to difuse!

Difuse wat one may presume,
Ah! but there in lies the subtle truth!
They r only trying to free,
my mind from something called ME!

for ME has destroyed so many lives,
from high peaks sent them to low dives!
my life is not far apart,
ME too in this vigil played a part!

gone are times to be vain,
and look back later in utter disdain!
lifes little revolution has turned around,
Oh! about it I heard not a single sound!

only cos I only heard Me!
Not those who called out!
from this shame I cud not flee!
from the mirror I had never reached out!

the time has come to end this ME,
In the reflection lies the answer,
the same mirror, the same place!
the same person yet a different face!!!!
